Job Description

A Certified Medication Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. This Full-Time position demands unwavering attention to detail, strict adherence to protocols, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. We offer a competitive benefits package and generous salary starting at $17 per hour. This position requires availability for weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Provide essential assistance to residents with activities of daily living, maintaining their dignity and independence.
  • Administer medications with utmost precision and safety, including oral, ophthalmic, optic, nasal, rectal, and topical forms, as prescribed by the physician.
  • Implement a rigorous three-step verification process before administering any medication:
    1. Confirm resident identity
    2. Verify correct medication
    3. Ensure proper dosage, form, route, timing, and frequency (e.g., 1 hour after meals)
  • Maintain compliance with medication labeling requirements to prevent potential errors.
  • Uphold the highest standards of care and safety in all aspects of medication management and resident interaction.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Completion of a recognized Medication Administration course is a plus

Experience

  • 1 year experience or training, preferably working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry is preferred
