Job Description

This position involves the operation of the soybean Preparation Plant.  This includes the movement of soybeans and meal, controlling process conditions, taking samples, coordination with upstream and downstream processes and some light maintenance. Any other duties or assignment by management.


Job Duties

Must be able to read and write.

Must be able to handle heights.

Must be able to do heavy lifting (100 lbs.)

Must be able to handle confined spaces.

Must be able to handle extreme atmospheric conditions (dust, heat, cold).

Must be able to climb ladders and stairs a large percentage of work time.

Must have good mechanical ability (understand the inner workings of machinery) 

Must be able to work independently and work well with other employees. 

Any other duties assigned by manager.



Preferred Skills.

1. Mechanical experience & knowledge preferred.

2. Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.

3. Logical and reasoning skills to understand moving fluids in vessels.

4. Ability to move quickly under stress and make clear, concise decisions in the elements including during the high temperatures of summer and cold winter days.

5. Good understanding of computers, and their use preferred.

6. Must be able to communicate problems appropriately with management involving upstream and downstream conflicts, as well as questions about processes in order to learn a niche set of skills.



Education Requirements

  High School Diploma or GED, with 2-4 years manufacturing experience preferred.
