Kerma Medical Products, Inc. is a Veteran-Minority Owned Company (VOSB) located in Suffolk, Virginia with a direct sales division in Miramar, Florida. Founded by Joyce Kershaw-Reubel and Earl G. Reubel, Kerma began as a manufacturer in 1991 as a United States Government supplier and in 1994, Kerma expanded into the Commercial Medical Products industry (ie: hospitals). In 2007, Kerma developed the Direct Sales Division, which is responsible for non-stock requisition business and provides streamlined access to 75+ manufacturers, offering 100,000+ SKUs.

We are currently recruiting for a critical member of the Quality team to ensure our inbound materials, production batches, and outbound shipments met strict quality requirements. 

The daily responsibilities will include:

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Conduct inbound inspections of products and materials and accurately document results.
  • Inspect all outbound shipments for:
    • Correct product count
    • Accurate LOT numbers
    • Proper shipping documentation
    • Pallet stability and overall completeness
  • Inspect production materials prior to use.
  • Inspect completed production orders for accuracy, labeling, LOT control, and pallet stability.

 Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and Device History Records.
  • Support ISO, Lean Manufacturing, FDA, and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Assist with corrective/preventative action requests and non‑conformance programs.
  • Conduct internal audits and provide timely reporting of quality or safety concerns.

 Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure shipping personnel follow proper processes and protocols.
  • Support lean manufacturing practices and drive quality improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, “visitor‑ready” work environment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal teams, vendors, and partners.

 What You Bring

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of related quality or manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Strong communication, writing, and comprehension skills in English.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to train, coach, and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems (e.g., Starship, ADP).

 Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to work in and around warehouse environments and equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice.
  • Office is located within the warehouse environment.
