Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Role in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while contributing to a professional and welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas within the healthcare location, assisting with visitor screening procedures and directing individuals according to site protocols.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, policy violations, and other security-related concerns, while providing courteous assistance during routine operations and/or high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
