Our Supply Chain team is seeking motivated professionals to help distribute our delicious products. As a Senior Supply Chain Analyst, you will support our company goals by analyzing business operations to minimize costs, maximize efficiencies, and enhance the customer experience. You’ll engage in cross-departmental communication to provide analytical support for continuous supply chain improvement. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business results, tracking key targets, providing reports to various teams, and conducting research and analysis on sales reporting, forecasting, and systems functionality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Data Analysis and Process Improvement: You will mine data systems to create meaningful reports and metrics that support process improvements. You will analyze supply chain activities to identify issues and assess the effectiveness of improvements. Using your analysis, you will present strategic recommendations to upper management. Additionally, you will refine business processes to meet reporting needs, handle exception reporting for key metrics, and monitor performance against customer guidelines to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Communication and Reporting: You will manage communication flows regarding cost changes, impacts, and project market impacts. You will lead and prepare key performance indicator reporting, providing detailed weekly and monthly reports for top customers. You will effectively communicate any business-critical concerns to senior leadership for prompt resolution. Additionally, you will create executive summaries showing OTIF potential fines, actual deductions, and countermeasures, and present OTIF updates in weekly team leadership calls and monthly to Supply Chain and Sales leadership.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will lead and participate as a strategic member of the cross-functional team to drive improvements in products, services, and processes, enhancing customer experience. You will develop effective processes to coordinate data shifts across teams and gain knowledge of process functions through cross-departmental communication. Working with the Supply Chain team and other stakeholders, you will develop recommendations to improve process accuracy and reliability with minimal capital expenditures. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with logistics processes and execution for OTIF delivery by collaborating with Supply Chain partners.

  • Performance Tracking and Improvement: You will track important KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) like Fill Rate, On-time delivery, and lead time performance. You will drive KPI performance (OTIF, Cost to Serve, Direct Plant Ship, Outside Cold Storage Ship) by collaborating with team members outside the department and leading meetings with the Sales Department and customers. You will manage the forecasting process for sales channels, business groups, weekly sales updates, and month-end recaps. Additionally, you will support the Supply Chain team initiative to ensure shipping occurs at the optimal location for both the supply chain and the customer.

  • Specialized Tasks: You will participate in internal and external audit support roles for Logistics team-related audits. You will own and maintain Customer master data, manage Distressed, Donation, and Tankage reporting, and oversee the outside cold storage matrix and loading capacity for seasonal volume. Additionally, you will coordinate seasonal ham order management and approval processes.

  • Leadership: Drives a positive employee experience through leadership by way of employee development and coaching.

  • All other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years’ relevant experience in an analytical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Strong expertise in Excel is required.

  • SAP experience required.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Knowledge of supply chain process flow and customer relations from a supply chain perspective.

  • Demonstrated experience with cost accounting/reporting, GAAP, Supply Chain, Planning and Forecasting, required.

  • Must be skilled in computer and software applications, which are critical in order to effectively, execute the job. i.e., SAP/BW, Microsoft Suite.

  • Strong understanding of reporting systems and processes.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with experience involving customer contact, problem resolution, and related product knowledge.

  • Capable of learning new IT systems as tasking and management data needs evolve.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Must display an aptitude and eagerness for learning and developing new business and technical skills quickly, strong problem-solving skills, show initiative, great attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Indirectly overseeing several team members.

  • Coach and mentor to Supply Chain Analysts.
