Job DetailsJob Location: Sugar Land, TX 77479Mortgage Loan Processor Location: Sugar Land Branch, Houston, TX 77479 Employment Type: Full Time – Onsite Only Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 6:00 pm (Some Flexibility on Start/End Times) Role: To assist members and mortgage loan officers with their mortgage loan application processing and ensuring documentation is completed compliantly and legally to ensure when the loan moves to closing and funding, all federally mandated dates and requirements are met. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Once mortgage loan officer provides a complete application to the processor, the processor processes each file from pre-approval to pre-closing. Inputs proper loan documentation into the system for processing. Ensure that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with company, state and federal policy. Verifies loan documents including but not limited to income, credit, appraisal and title insurance, flood, and preparing application for submittal to underwriting to clear conditions and assist in the loan being cleared to close. Reviews file documentation to make sure all items needed are requested. Orders and coordinates loan documents. Works with the member, the MLO, underwriter, and closer to ensure accurate and timely loan processing and closing. Performs other related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: Loans audited both internally and externally must meet Federal and State laws, FNMA guidelines, and HFCU policy where applicable. Must meet all disclosure requirements and timeframes for those disclosures. Documentation must be accurate, timely, and compliant. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience in mortgage application processing. Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Other Skills: Must have good communication skills, Ten key calculator, typewriter and keyboard skills.
