We’re excited to bring Mia’s Table to Sugar Land and are currently building our opening team ahead of our anticipated late June 2026 opening!

As we prepare to open our newest location, we’re looking for dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Prep Cooks who take pride in quality, consistency, and teamwork. Prep Cooks are an essential part of our kitchen operations and play a major role in setting the kitchen team up for success each day.

What You’ll Do:
As a Prep Cook at Mia’s Table, you’ll help ensure our kitchen is fully prepared to deliver fresh, high-quality food to every guest.
Responsibilities include:
- Â Preparing ingredients including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, mixing recipes, and preparing sauces and dressingsÂ
-  Following Mia’s Table recipes, prep procedures, and portion standardsÂ
- Â Assisting with cooking and preparing food items as neededÂ
- Â Setting up and stocking kitchen stations for serviceÂ
- Â Properly labeling, dating, rotating, and storing food productsÂ
- Â Maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and prep areasÂ
- Â Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyÂ
- Â Monitoring inventory levels and communicating product needs to Kitchen Leads and ManagersÂ
- Â Assisting with receiving and stocking deliveriesÂ
- Â Following all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelinesÂ
- Â Working closely with cooks, dishwashers, and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth operationsÂ
- Â Maintaining a sense of urgency while staying organized and detail-orientedÂ
What We’re Looking For:
- Â Must be at least 18 years oldÂ
- Â Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferredÂ
- Â Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environmentÂ
- Â Strong attention to detail and commitment to food qualityÂ
- Â Ability to follow recipes and prep procedures accuratelyÂ
- Â Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitudeÂ
- Â Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when neededÂ
- Â Strong communication and organizational skillsÂ
- Â Flexible availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidaysÂ
- Â Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety proceduresÂ
- Â Food Handler Certification requiredÂ
