Job DetailsJob Location: Sugar Land, TX 77479Part Time Teller Location: Sugar Land Branch, Houston, TX 77479 Employment Type: Part Time Work Hours: Branch Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 6:30pm; Saturday: Rotational 8:30am – 2:30pm.   Role: To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders, gift cards, teller and cashier’s checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service. Maintains and updates member records accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Processes checks through branch capture system daily. Assists members with account servicing needs, including processing updates, maintenance requests, and general account related support in accordance with established policies and procedures. Effectively manages high-volume member traffic in both lobby and drive-thru environments, maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of member service during peak periods. Loads, balances, and services ATM(s) and branch equipment, including cash recyclers, cash counters and lobby coin machine, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to security and cash management procedures. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing computer input and answering the telephone. Supports overall branch operations by completing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Performance Measurements: To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members. To balance daily in accordance with HFCU Teller Balancing Standards. To strive for posting accuracy, measurement to be determined by department manager and to be measured in employee performance evaluation goals. To process checks through branch capture system accurately with minimal errors. To meet or exceed referral goals each month. To troubleshoot and resolve members and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner. To ensure that ATM(s) have adequate cash supplies and are balanced according to established procedures and assists with maintenance and problem solving. To cross train on other duties within area as requested. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness. Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations. Knowledge & Skills: Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with people beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Other Skills: Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
