The Manufacturing Engineer will design and implement LEAN manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency, and quality, and eliminate waste. The manufacturing engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement standard work, to ensure the balanced operation of Lean cells complete with daily visual management boards. 

 

What You'll Do

 

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to develop and implement solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to evaluate the potential impact of process improvements and investments.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all manufacturing activities.
  • Create work instructions and other visual management tools. Proven experience in Lean manufacturing engineering or a related field, preferably in a production environment.
