Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role is crucial for ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and organized effectively, contributing to the overall success of our shipping and receiving operations.
Duties

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Move products throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and other machinery to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency in shipping and receiving operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is required.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in the workplace.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Forklift: 1 year (Required)
• Standing Reach lift: 1 year (Preferred)
• Aisle Master: 1 year (Preferred)
