POSITION SUMMARY

Leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across assigned EAI facilities. Partners with site leadership and multiple departments to build a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations, and reduce workplace risk through hazard identification, incident investigation, and employee training.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, andmaintainsite EHS programs and policies covering hazard recognition, PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and emergency response
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and job hazard analyses; track corrective actions to closure
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting for injuries, near-misses, and property damage events
  • Maintain OSHA 300/300A logs and coordinate workers’ compensation reporting with HR
  • Manage and publish monthly KPI’s providing ongoing visibility of EHS performance across all business entities
  • Remain current with allfederal, state, and local EHS requirements as it pertains to the overall business

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local environmental and safety regulations across assigned sites
  • Prepare andsubmitrequired regulatory filings and permits;maintainaudit-ready documentation
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections and audits
  • Monitor changes in EHS regulations and update internal policies and procedures accordingly

Training & Safety Culture:

  • Partner with L&D to design and deliver EHS training for new hires, supervisors, and existing employees, including annual refreshers
  • Partner with site leadership to build and reinforce a proactive, employee-driven safety culture
  • Lead safety committee meetings and coordinate site-wide safety communications and recognition programs
  • Partner with plant engineering and facilities to evaluate,establish, and recommend best practices to mitigate and/or prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Highly visible role requiring regular and recurring visits to each entity location
  • Willing to work autonomously while also providing regular updates to site leaders and senior leadership at defined intervals and/or upon request

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in environmental health and safety, ideally in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting
  • Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards, EPA regulations, and workers’ compensation processes
  • OSHA 30-Hour certificationrequired; CSP, CIH, or ASP preferred
  • Proficientwith Microsoft Office Suite includingSharePoint andTeams, ERP (SAP orOracle-NetSuite), ASANAor Monday(project management) andthe latestAI tools (Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude) highly preferred 

Preferred Background:

  • Experience supporting EHS programs across multiple sites or subsidiaries within a multi-entity company structure; familiarity with lithium-ionbatteries, electronics,andsolar manufacturing environments 
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) management systems
  • Training experience with the application of forklifts, overhead cranes and jibs, tuggers, and AGV’s is a plus!
  • Critical-thinking,team-building, ergonomics, preventive-mindset, and the ability to communicate at all levels

Physical Requirements 

  • This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking,lifting 50+lbs.,bending, stooping, climbing,performingcomputer work, and periodic exposure to manufacturing or warehouse environments including noise, dust, and moving equipment. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation
