Description

*Due to being an in-plant position, the below referenced job duties have been provided by the client:


•      Execution Lead is responsible for the day-to-day field execution of industrial painting and abrasive blasting operations. This role ensures that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedules. The position acts as the critical link between the Project Manager and field crews, translating project plans into real-time execution.

• Direct and coordinate daily blasting and coating operations in the field.

• Ensure proper sequencing of work activities (surface prep, blasting, coating application, curing).

• Monitor crew productivity and adjust manpower to meet schedule requirements.

• Coordinate with scaffolding, containment, and support teams to maintain workflow continuity.

• Lead and supervise foremen, blasters, painters, and labor crews.

• Assign daily work tasks and ensure clarity of expectations.

• Track attendance, crew hours, and performance.

• Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety programs.

• Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and toolbox talks.

• Ensure proper use of PPE (respirators, blast suits, fall protection, etc.).

• Monitor high-risk tasks such as confined space entry, elevated work, and hazardous coatings removal.

• Stop work authority when unsafe conditions exist.

• Ensure surface preparation meets specified standards (e.g., SSPC-SP6, SP10, SP5).

• Verify environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, dew point) prior to coating.

• Monitor coating application for proper technique and coverage.

• Coordinate with QC inspectors and immediately address deficiencies.

• Track daily progress against the project schedule.

• Report production quantities (sq ft blasted/coated, units completed).

• Identify delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

• Support Project Manager in maintaining schedule milestones.

• Coordinate delivery, staging, and proper storage of materials.

• Maintain accurate daily reports including

• Communicate updates and issues to Project Manager and stakeholders.

• Interface with client representatives, inspectors, and third-party QA/QC personnel in the field.

• Support inspections and walkthroughs.

• Ensure punch list items are addressed promptly.


Requirements

Summary of Description:

The Technician will work under the supervision of an assigned specific discipline and based on experience the individual evaluates, selects, and applies standard applicable techniques. Could include discipline work of purchasing, expediting, NDT Inspection, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planner, construction inspectors, project coordinators, automation, controls, etc.


Duties:

Assists assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects assigned. 

Applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least eleven (11) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.


License Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement


Specific Skills:

Detailed working knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to project work.


Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year. 

Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.

Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.

Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection. 

Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.

Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.

Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.

Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
