Job Description

As a Security Officer - Global Dr. in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming, professional experience for employees and visitors. You will help identify and report security-related concerns while contributing to a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience Valid Driver's License

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary across an industrial chemical and petrochemical location.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for access activity, incidents, inspections, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
