Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Monitor Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will also provide outstanding customer service and communication while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor processing, and document security-related access activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas and critical access points, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Support screening and vehicle access procedures for deliveries, contractors, and personnel, helping to uphold controlled entry standards and orderly site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
