Yard Technician II

The Yard Technician II ensures that all equipment is ready for rent and the yard is organized to maximize efficiency.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Must have a valid state driver’s license with a moderately clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
• Ability to take verbal and written instructions and perform the tasks necessary for the job.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & SKILLS 

• High School degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 1 year of Forklift experience is preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Load and unload trucks. This includes the safe distribution of weight and proper and legal tie down of all loads. 
• Transports non-DOT equipment
• Prepare equipment for rent.
• Organize and put equipment and tools in proper place.
• Keep the area of responsibility clean and organized.
• Keep forklift, pallet jack, and pressure washer in good working order.
• Responsible for matching loaded and unloaded equipment with delivery tickets or other freight documents.
• Performs minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Notes any physical damage to equipment received on freight document.
• Works outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
