Job Summary
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County is a non-profit organization providing young people ages five (5)
to eighteen (18) with a safe and positive place to spend their time before and after school and during the
summer. Clubs are strategically located in neighborhoods and are accessible to all kids.

Under the direction of the COO the Unit Director is responsible for the management of club programs and daily
operations in accordance with Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGA) and Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish
County (BGCSC) requirements, and the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to
increase membership and average daily attendance. In addition, the Unit Director is responsible for managing
the performance of club staff, the care and up-keep of the facility, community and school relations, club budget,
and fundraising. The Unit Director must be a strong leader who leads their team, complies and implements with
BGCSC policies and procedure, and is comfortable using BGA and BGCSC software in accordance with
attendance tracking for club members, club safety, BGA and merit trainings, and staff management. The Unit
Director will also be responsible for working with BGCSC Development Team on fundraising and events to
produce donations to their club and the BGCSC organization. The Unit Director is responsible for staff
performance and managing all club operations as well as the connected sites.
Job Duties
ï‚· Manages club staff in a kind and motivating way, encouraging staff growth and promoting a safe,
healthy, and inclusive work environment
ï‚· Plans, organizes, and supervises the club programs within the organization's youth development mission
ï‚· Provides supervision and development of club staff and volunteers
ï‚· Supports key Boys & Girls Club initiatives
ï‚· Manages club budget and works with COO and CFO to achieve budgetary goals
ï‚· Promotes and markets programs to club members, parents, and the community, including the school
district and city
ï‚· Actively connects with the community, neighborhood, and other organizations
ï‚· Provides leadership, direction, and problem-solving guidance for all staff
ï‚· Responsible for the care and up-keep of the facility and equipment
ï‚· Assists in the identification and recruitment of potential donors/sponsors to the club and the organization
ï‚· Works with Development Team as needed in relation to donations and fundraising events
ï‚· Understands and follows BGCSC 10 Safety Policies for Protection of Youth
ï‚· Implements trauma-informed care procedures
ï‚· Can identify child safety concerns and swiftly communicate them to VP of Safety
ï‚· Has ability to comprehend BGCSC policies and has the ability to implement them in a non-bias and
effective way
ï‚· Leads staff using BGCSC Cultural DNA guidelines
ï‚· Has the ability to understand, execute, and exceed in administrative functions
ï‚· Complete all grant assignments on time and turn in related paperwork in a timely manner
ï‚· Utilizes My Club Hub (MCH) to accurately track club data for BGA reporting
ï‚· Utilizes ADP Workforce Now to approve timecards, enter PTO, and access necessary forms and
trainings as needed
ï‚· Ability to complete separation, status changes, and disciplinary forms in a complete and timely manner
ï‚· Strong communication skills with all staff, including team meetings and performance check-ins
ï‚· Recruitment and screening of new hires with the assistance of HR
ï‚· Meets deadlines and expectations provided by COO
ï‚· Develops and manages a budget that maximizes revenues from activities and emphasizes maximum cost
controls
ï‚· Creates and maintains existing connections with community members and donors
ï‚· Complete and participate special projects as assigned, for example, Youth of the Year and The Grand
Gala
ï‚· Supports all staff in daily duties, such as independently watching club members in regulation with WA
State law and BGA guidelines
ï‚· Leads with kindness and respect
Job Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in related field such as early childcare development strongly preferred
ï‚· Management experience in a child care setting required
ï‚· Management experience in a licensed child care setting preferred
ï‚· Experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar non-profit organization
ï‚· Fundraising experience preferred
ï‚· Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
ï‚· Familiarity with ADP or other staff managing software
ï‚· Familiarity with My Club Hub or other data tracking software
ï‚· Strong communication and leadership skills
ï‚· Ability to pass drug test upon hire
ï‚· Ability to pass background check upon hire
ï‚· Ability to walk or stand constantly with or without reasonable accommodation
ï‚· Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
ï‚· Ability to use fine motor movements with or without reasonable accommodation
