You will be the first point of contact for endpoint security, firewall and monitoring solutions at a NATO agency site in Norfolk, keeping systems confidential, available and accredited.

What you will be doing

  • Applying and maintaining security measures set by policy and local risk assessment
  • Working access controls for firewalls and endpoint security solutions
  • Running routine vulnerability assessments with automated and semi-automated tools, and escalating what matters
  • Supporting investigations into suspected attacks and security breaches
  • Technical assessment of systems against assurance policy, including routine accreditation decisions
  • Periodic backups, monitoring reports, user access coordination and security checklists

What you will need

  • Practical cyber security operations experience: endpoint protection, firewalls, monitoring
  • Vulnerability assessment work with the usual tooling, and the judgement to know what to escalate
  • Familiarity with risk assessment, risk treatment plans and accreditation or compliance evidence
  • Comfort with routine infrastructure operations and scripted or automated procedures
  • Clear written English for reporting to senior stakeholders
