CNC Operator

Sportsman Boats is looking for a CNC operator responsible for the operation of the CNC machines to cut materials while meeting production goals and high quality standards.

What you will do:

• Perform all assigned CNC operations meeting daily and weekly production goals while maintaining high quality standards
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Transport materials to different areas of CNC shop
• Perform inspection of machined products, and documents results
• Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
• Assist in other work areas in upholstery department as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum one year experience as a CNC operator in a fast paced manufacturing facility
• Experience using small hand tools
• Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to follow schedules
• Detail oriented, proactive and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Advanced verbal communication skills
• Advanced time management and organizational skills
• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with wood, leather, fiberglass and vinyl in marine industry 
• Experience using the Eastman, Axyz, 3-Axis, or 5 Axis and Router systems

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. This role routinely wears protective clothing and masks.
