Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee the daily functions of our manufacturing plant. This role is vital in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality plant operations while providing leadership and guidance to plant personnel in the absence of the Plant Manager. What You'll Do:
- Open the plant and manage daily operations to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient production processes.
- Safely batch concrete and load trucks according to order specifications, maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
- Â Perform routine quality checks on sand moisture, slumps, and temperatures as per scheduled protocols.
- Motivate, coach, and supervise drivers and plant staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment, including the fleet and work areas.
- Communicate effectively with the Shop to report issues related to plant trucks and heavy equipment, coordinating timely repairs.
- Collaborate with Plant Maintenance to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Monitor safety procedures and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in training new staff and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Convey all pertinent information to the Plant Manager regarding equipment and personnel at the end of each shift.
- Perform daily truck check in with other plant personnel; report reading and/or inefficiencies to Shop or On-Call Technician

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of related experience in concrete batching, plant operations, or a similar production environment.
- Possess ACI Level I Certification or can obtain ACI Level I Certification within six months of employment.
- Possess applicable DOT Batching Certifications or can obtain DOT Batching Certifications within six months of employment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety is required.
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to include motivating, developing, and inspiring others.Â
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work in high pressure situations under tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift, stretch, push, pull, twist, kneel, stand, walk, sit, reach occasionally.Â
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard daily for extended periods.
- Ability to work outside as needed, with possible exposure to the extremes of hot or cold weather.
