Job DetailsJob Location: Summerville, SC 29483Travel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: ManufacturingJob Description: Mold Modifier REPORTS TO : R&D Project Manager POSTION SUMMARY: The position will be responsible for making all mold modifications, repairs and improvements to existing molds to improve efficiency in ongoing production.  Cutting, grinding, glassing and finishing are typical daily task for this job.   KEY TASK AND RESPONBILITES: Modify production parts, verify fit and function. Adjust tooling to achieve efficient production parts. Identify required surface finish classifications, achieve necessary finish on tooling. Inspect tooling finish, correct imperfections, follow quality verification procedures Recognize part and tooling release requirements, apply according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Gain an understanding of chemicals and follow best practice processes. Follow and enforce safety guidelines. Manage personal and team schedules, coordinate with other departments. Keep your tools and equipment maintained and in good working condition. Responsible for cleanliness of your work area at all times. Assist in training personnel if required. MEASUREABLES: Performance Scorecard (Quality, Schedule, Safety, Efficiency, 5S, Attendance) Rework   QualificationsEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Must have experience in tooling & fabrication Proficient in measuring and basic math Self-starter Can work independently as well as with a team Ability to self QC and correct issues Consistent work ethic History of good attendance Must be flexible with overtime and working Saturdays as needed.
