Job Description Summary

MUSC Children’s After Hours and Specialty Clinics, we are a pediatric outpatient clinic that falls under the Shawn Jenkin’s Children’s Hospital at MUSC. During the day, we host a variety of pediatric subspecialists such as pediatric neurology, endocrinology, and pulmonary, only to name a few. In addition to that, we provide a walk-in After Hours Care, which is a direct extension of our pediatric emergency department to serve our community during the hours when most pediatricians are closed.

Responsible for overall management and leadership of specialty care physician practice operations including business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management, patient care systems, and quality management. Ability to provide consistent leadership and maintain excellent interpersonal relations with physicians and administrative staff is critical while continually working to increase and maintain interaction of physicians into the MUSC Health System.

Job Description

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM- 4:30 PM

Minimum Education Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's of Nursing (MSN) may be required dependent upon position/magnet requirements. Minimum 2+ years of prior healthcare leadership experience required.

Minimum Certification and Requirements: Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
