Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. This role is critical in reducing downtime, maintaining productivity, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and break-fix repairs
  • Set up and operate machining tools such as lathe, drill press, and grinder
  • Perform basic welding as needed for equipment repair
  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical components including:
    • Motors
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Photo eyes
    • Relays
    • Proximity sensors
    • Solenoids
    • Motor starters
    • Tachometers and encoders
  • Repair or replace adjustable components such as belts, chains, and cables
  • Replace worn parts including bearings, rollers, pulleys, guides, and wheels
  • Identify and source replacement parts and supplies
  • Respond quickly to equipment downtime to restore production
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout policies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems
  • Experience operating lathe, drill press, and grinding equipment
  • Basic welding experience preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and replace defective components
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required
  • Employees must provide basic tools (specialized tools and annual tool allowance provided)
