Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information.
- Partner with providers and clinic staff to support timely, coordinated patient care.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Assist with telephone triage, patient questions, and follow-up regarding health concerns and progress.
- Document patient care, interventions, and clinical information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide coverage and support across Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, Wound Care, General Surgery, and other specialty services.
- Contribute to efficient daily clinic operations and a positive, team-oriented patient experience.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Graduate from an accredited School of NursingÂ
- Must have a current license or certificate in the state of Iowa
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Understand the concepts, principles and practices of a clinic setting
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
