Material Handler

Our quality culture is grounded in robust processes, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.  We are seeking a material handler who will efficiently keep processes moving throughout our facilities in Ruskin, in a timely manner.

Position Summary

The material handler will support production and distribution processes by moving various materials within the facility. They are responsible for the physical movement, storage and organization of inventory.  They support supply chain operations by loading/unloading shipments, tracking stock, and supplying work centers with the materials needed to keep production and distribution running efficiently.

We are currently looking for a Material Handler on the 1^st shift.

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 am - 5 pm

Friday: 7:30 am - 11:30am

Job Duties:

• Operates forklift to move and deliver material within and around the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner
• Loads and unloads deliveries
• Maintains levels of materials required for production
• May use hands to handle, inspect, band and or package the raw and finished parts
• Uses a computer to enter material transactions and may assist in inventory and cycle counts
• Be willing and able to fill in and assist in all areas of the shop

Qualifications:

• Previous material handling/forklift operator experience in a warehouse environment required
• Valid and current forklift certification, or able to attain certification
• Valid Driver’s License 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience working with computer-based inventory control systems/ERP systems
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Commitment to demonstrating safe work practices
• Reliable and punctual to work scheduled shifts
• Good communication skills – written and verbal

Education: 

• Has a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
