What You’ll Do As an Inside Sales Associate, you'll be the first point of contact for many customers, helping contractors and homeowners find solutions for their projects. You'll support daily sales operations, assist with quoting and order processing, answer customer questions, and help maintain the exceptional service standards our customers expect from Bliffert Lumber. Customer Service & Relationship Management Create a positive experience for every customer interaction. Build strong relationships with retail and contractor customers. Answer incoming customer calls promptly and professionally. Assist walk-in customers with project needs and product selection. Provide exceptional service that creates loyal, repeat customers. Listen to customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Resolve customer questions and concerns with a positive, helpful attitude. Sales & Order Processing Support daily sales activities and help keep projects moving. Enter and process customer orders accurately using company systems. Prepare sales orders, quotes, and related documentation. Update and revise customer quotes as project needs change. Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and credit terms. Collaborate with sales team members to support customer opportunities. Assist with cash sales and transaction processing. Help manage the high volume of quotes and customer requests received by the location. Product Knowledge & Team Collaboration Build expertise that helps customers make informed purchasing decisions. Develop knowledge of building materials, lumber products, and company services. Learn product categories including decking, doors, windows, and trim. Participate in company training programs, including Spruce system training. Continuously expand product and industry knowledge. Become a trusted resource for customers and teammates. Cross-train with experienced team members to support future succession plans. Assist with billing activities and administrative tasks as needed. Safety & Compliance Contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture. Promote a safe and professional work environment. Follow and support all Bliffert Lumber safety policies and procedures. Report workplace injuries immediately to management. Protect confidential company financial information, business plans, and customer information. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
