Join a team of passionate and creative engineers dedicated to building technologies that will shape the future. We are a cross-functional group that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and tackling challenging problems. Our work lies at the intersection of groundbreaking hardware, software, and design, and we are looking for a key contributor to help us explore what's possible. In this role you will define and implement actuation solutions. This is a hands-on role working closely with our mechanical and control system counterparts to develop motor drive and sensing architectures, including silicon definition and system integration.

Description

In this role, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate motor drive circuitry. The position requires deep expertise in actuator drive electronics including 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive design and silicon development, as well as system-level awareness to own motor drive integration. Also required are excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Silicon definition for motor drive solutions Motor drive architecture definition and system integration Bringup and debug Hardware validation Prototyping proof of concepts

Minimum Qualifications

BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering 5+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive circuitry design and integration Experience in motor drive silicon definition and development Excellent EE fundamentals focused on motor drives and analog design: 3-phase bridge design and control, gate drivers, phase current sensing, active and passive signal conditioning, feedback systems, ADC interfacing, DC/DC converters, and power integrity Strong working experience in electrical design, including component selection, circuit design, schematic capture, component placement and PCB/flex layout. Successful candidates have the ability to stay organized, execute to a timeline, and produce high quality deliverables Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, storage, high speed serial) Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction Hands on experience with test equipment including oscilloscope, multi-meters and more for prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional validation

Preferred Qualifications

MS in electrical engineering or computer engineering 8+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drive design and integration Proven experience across the motor drive silicon development cycle from architecture to mass production
