About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure for ATUSA cloud-based web application.on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a focus on scalability, security, and observability
    • Implement secure, scalable, and reliable APIs and backend services.
    • Implement and maintain authentication, authorization, logging, and monitoring systems to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable operation
    • Implement infrastructure-as-code and automate deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, etc.)

  • Web Application Development

    • Develop and maintain responsive and performant web applications using modern frameworks and RESTful APIs (Python, JavaScript, Node.js)
    • Optimize performance across backend services, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces for storage, retrieval, and visualization of 3D imaging.
    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and frontend engineers to build intuitive and responsive UI and deliver seamless user experiences for clinicians.
    • Troubleshoot and optimize performance of cloud infrastructure and web services
    • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment.

  • Data Pipeline & MLOps

    • Design and implement robust data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large datasets.
    • Collaborate with Advanced Imaging and AI teams to deploy, monitor, and manage ML models in production.
    • Automate model training, evaluation, and deployment processes.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Work across disciplines to drive architecture decisions and best practices.
    • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical documentation
    • Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Clinical teams to define and prioritize customer requirements
    • Develop internal web interfaces and admin portals for clinical research, application and marketing teams

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • BS/MS in computer science with 5+ years of experience, with strong exposure to both cloud infrastructure and full-stack development.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong exposure to both cloud infrastructure and full-stack development.
  • Expertise in Python for data pipeline and backend development.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and Node.js for web application development.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) 
  • Proven experience building and managing scalable cloud backend and familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in regulated medical device/healthcare industries with compliance-aware development
  • Knowledge of MLOps and data versioning tools (MLflow, DVC)
  • Experience with data privacy and security best practices (HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Experience with software lifecycle in medical device industry 
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity requirement for healthcare cloud application
