  • Experience in low-level systems programming languages (e.g., C++ or C).
  • Experience working on the Linux Kernel.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience working with computer architecture.
  • Experience in operating systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Designing, implementing, and analyzing low-level computer systems and their interactions with the Linux kernel and hardware.
  • Collaborating with partner teams as well as users across Google e.g., Borg team, ML teams, hardware platform teams, SRE teams, Google Cloud.
