About the RoleAs our Sous Chef, you will support the Executive Chef by leading culinary operations during assigned morning or evening shifts. You will oversee restaurant, banquet, catering, and room service production while ensuring exceptional food quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to brand standards.Â

What You'll Be DoingÂ
Culinary OperationsÂ
- Lead kitchen operations during assigned AM or PM shiftsÂ
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation for restaurant, banquet, catering, and in-room dining servicesÂ
- Ensure recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines are consistently followedÂ
- Coordinate food production to meet service demands efficientlyÂ
- Assist with menu execution, seasonal offerings, and special event preparationÂ
Team LeadershipÂ
- Supervise, coach, and develop cooks and kitchen staff during assigned shiftsÂ
- Conduct daily shift briefings and communicate operational prioritiesÂ
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive kitchen cultureÂ
- Support onboarding and training of new culinary employeesÂ
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive ChefÂ
Food Quality & Guest ExperienceÂ
- Ensure all menu items meet quality, consistency, and presentation standardsÂ
- Monitor ticket times and kitchen workflow to deliver timely serviceÂ
- Address food quality concerns immediately and implement corrective actionsÂ
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership to enhance the overall guest dining experienceÂ
Kitchen ManagementÂ
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate purchasing needsÂ
- Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and organizing food productsÂ
- Help manage food costs by minimizing waste and controlling portionsÂ
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and operating properlyÂ
Safety & ComplianceÂ
- Maintain compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and local health regulationsÂ
- Ensure proper food handling, labeling, storage, and temperature controlsÂ
- Promote a safe work environment and proper use of kitchen equipmentÂ
- Complete required sanitation logs and operational documentationÂ
Financial & Operational SupportÂ
- Assist with labor scheduling and productivity during assigned shiftsÂ
- Monitor food cost and operational efficiencyÂ
- Support inventory counts and cost-control initiativesÂ
Recommend operational improvements to increase efficiency and guest satisfactionÂ

Technical / Role-Specific RequirementsÂ
- Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or full-service restaurantÂ
- Previous Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor experience preferredÂ
- Experience with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, and catering operationsÂ
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, inventory control, and cost managementÂ
- Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hireÂ
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and kitchen management systems is a plusÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferredÂ
- Hotel, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality experience preferredÂ
- Banquet and high-volume production experience strongly preferredÂ
- HACCP certification is a plusÂ
- Bilingual abilities are a plusÂ
