Position Summary...

Walmart Marketplace is dedicated to creating a safe and trustworthy environment for our users. Seller Support & Risk Operations Product exists to help good sellers operate with confidence on Walmart Marketplace by making support faster, decisions fairer, compliance clearer, disputes easier, and risk enforcement smarter. We build the seller-facing, associate-facing, and automated systems that resolve seller issues, protect the marketplace, and reduce operational friction at scale.

We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager to lead the development of our Risk and Compliance Investigation products. In this role, you will define and execute the product strategy for operations associate facing products enabling detecting, preventing, and investigating fraudulent and high-risk seller behavior. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and risk operations specialists to build intelligent, scalable, and highly effective risk systems.

What you'll do...

Key Responsibilities 
  • Product Strategy: Define the long-term vision and strategy for the Seller Risk and Compliance Investigation product portfolio. 
  • Gen AI & Machine Learning: Lead the ideation and development of Gen AI and AI/ML-powered risk detection and investigation tools with hands on experience of building and deploying multi-agent frameworks and evaluating model performance and trade-offs.  
  • Roadmap Planning: Own the product roadmap, prioritize features, drive user experience designs and manage the product backlog to deliver maximum value. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, data science, risk operations, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution. 
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage strong analytical skills and data to inform product decisions, measure impact, and identify new opportunities. 
  • Market & User Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging fraud vectors, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive advantage. 
  • Communication: Clearly articulate the product vision, strategy, and business value to all levels of the organization 
     
Qualifications 
  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years in the risk, fraud, or trust and safety domain. 
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience shipping products that leverage these technologies. Experience with Gen AI is a significant plus. 
  • Risk Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of e-commerce/fintech risk landscapes, including common fraud patterns, seller lifecycle risks, and investigation workflows. 
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional data analysis skills and proficiency with tools like SQL, Python, or data visualization platforms. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. 
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements. 
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field
