Position Summary

Join Metis Technology Solutions in supporting Lockheed Martin Space’s Combined Orbital Operations Logistics and Resiliency (COOLR) program. This role delivers IT and cybersystems security support for the AEHF System Database (ASDB), Flight Software (FSW), and Network AEHF System Testbed Tools (NASTT) across production and testing environments at the Sunnyvale, CA campus. You will maintain the digital ecosystem to keep systems efficient, secure, and reliable while working a 9x80A schedule and being 100% on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration (Linux/UNIX, Windows, embedded hardware): deploy, configure, harden, troubleshoot, and support disaster recovery (NetBackup/Veeam).
  • Storage Management: install, secure, and monitor NetApp or other NAS/SAN solutions.
  • Cyber Compliance: apply STIGs, manage patches/upgrades, perform trusted downloads, and maintain RMF-based compliance.
  • Change & Asset Management: execute changes using change-management tools and keep asset inventories up to date.
  • Operational Support: work onsite during day-shift business hours; provide after-hours support when critical operations demand it.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: lead technical best-practice discussions, mentor peers, and coordinate with functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Deliverables & Reporting: prepare and submit a Quarterly Activity Report (SDR #0001) identifying technical and schedule progress; due on the last Thursday of each quarter.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience or equivalent;.
  • Active DoD Final SECRET security clearance (future TOP SECRET may be required).
  • Current Security+ certification.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux/UNIX and Windows environments; familiarity with embedded hardware.
  • Experience with disaster recovery tools (e.g., NetBackup, Veeam) and enterprise storage (e.g., NetApp NAS/SAN).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply STIGs and sustain RMF-based compliance.
  • Experience with change-management tools and asset inventory practices.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

  • Schedule: 9x80A compressed workweek (80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off).
  • Work location: 100% on-site at Lockheed Martin Space, Sunnyvale, CA campus.
  • Hours: primary coverage during day-shift business hours; after-hours support for critical operations as required.

Compliance & Safety

  • Adherence to LM Space safety and security protocols, including the Contractor Safety Program (CSP).
  • Compliance with applicable security doctrine (e.g., DoD 5220.22-M/NISPOM) when specified by subcontract requirements.
