Responsibilities
- Define, design and develop optical metrology including hardware engineering, test software and instrument qualification
- Define, design and develop semiconductor electrical driver and measurement solution including hardware engineering, test software and instrument qualification
- Develop benchtop and production instrumentation to characterize complex optical metrics and electrical specs
- Collect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to performance metrics
- Explore novel optical metrology technologies and work with suppliers on prototype development
- Lead full cycle of tester development against engineering requirement specifications. Take complete ownership of transferring metrology technologies from R&D to mass production
- Establish and perform tester alignment and calibration procedures and ensure testers are performing as intended and providing accurate data
- Work with engineering design team(s) to clarify/refine performance metric definition for test solution implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product development and launch
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience or Advanced Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience
- Hands-on experience in optical metrology development from concept to system validation
- In-depth knowledge of imaging optics, optical metrology and characterization
- Hands-on experience in semiconductor or electrical board test development from concept to implementation
- In-depth knowledge of digital logic, mix signal, microprocessors and semiconductor devices
- Experience in test automation (instrument control, data collection and analysis) using Python, C#, LabView or Matlab
- Proficiency in clear communication and presentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the AR/VR field
- Familiarity with display silicon testing
- Familiarity with optics or optical engineering
- In-depth knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Measurement System Validation, Volume Data Analysis
- Experience in image processing and algorithm development
- Experience in Zemax, Code V, LightTools, FRED or other optical design/simulation tools
- Expertise in ATE Equipment programming (e.g. Teradyne UltraFLEX, Advantest 93k)
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to support business needs
$144,000/year to $204,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
