Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT) – California | School-Based (Hybrid: In-Person or Virtual)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to support students within a California school district in a flexible, part-time role. This unique opportunity allows for either in-person services, virtual/teletherapy support, or a hybrid arrangement, depending on district needs and candidate preference. You will play an important role in helping students improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence so they can fully access their educational environment.

In this position, you will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized physical therapy services that support student success across academic and functional settings. Services may include direct therapy, evaluations, progress monitoring, and participation in IEP meetings. Your work will directly contribute to helping students build confidence, independence, and physical access to learning.

This role is ideal for a clinician who values flexibility while still making a meaningful impact in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams.
  • Maintain documentation, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
  • Support students in developing mobility, motor skills, balance, and functional independence.
  • Provide physical therapy services to students in a school-based setting (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).

Requirements

  • School-based experience preferred but not required.
  • Active or eligible Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
  • Ability to provide services either in-person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.
  • Passion for supporting students’ physical development and educational access.
