Job DetailsJob Location: Las Vegas, NV 89115Salary Range: $24.00 - $34.00 HourlyJob Description: Commercial HVAC Installer Department: Commercial Pay Range: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience Job Summary The HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and systems. This position performs installations in accordance with company standards, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The Installer works independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule, to high quality standards, and with strict attention to detail. Travel Requirement: This position requires frequent travel (over 50%) to various regional job sites. Duties and Responsibilities Equipment Installation: Install commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, package units, walk-in coolers/freezers, refrigeration piping, and associated components. Crane & Rigging Coordination: Assist in and coordinate crane lifts, setting heavy rooftop equipment, curb placements, and rigging procedures safely. Electrical Work: Apply foundational electrical installation knowledge to connect low-voltage control wiring, high-voltage line connections, and associated electrical components safely. Ductwork & Piping: Install sheet metal ductwork, spiral duct, flex duct, grilles, diffusers, registers, dampers, accessories, refrigerant piping, condensate drains, supports, hangers, insulation, and equipment curbs. Blueprints & Fabrication: Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and installation plans. Measure, fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and related materials. Digital Tracking & Paperwork: Efficiently utilize multiple electronic platforms and mobile applications for time tracking, job logging, material tracking, installation reports, and daily project documentation. Commissioning: Assist with equipment start-up and commissioning activities as directed. Safety & Site Management: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and construction equipment. Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites while strictly adhering to OSHA regulations and wearing required PPE at all times. Communication & Vehicle Operation: Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, coworkers, vendors, subcontractors, and customers. Operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequirements and Qualifications Ability to travel over 50% as required by project schedules. All qualified candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and background check. Must maintain an insurable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance provider. Valid driver’s license registered in the state where you will be working. Proven experience or solid working knowledge of basic electrical installation concepts and HVAC electrical connections. Previous experience or familiarity with crane set coordination and heavy equipment rigging. Comfortable using smartphone/tablet devices to navigate electronic tracking platforms. The company will provide transportation and certain tools that you will be responsible for. Professional references from previous employment may be requested. Skills & Competencies High Attention to Detail: Precise execution of mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal installations to code and quality standards. Tech-Savvy: Tech literacy to navigate multiple digital platforms for time reporting, work order tracking, and field updates. Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical control circuits, low and high-voltage wiring, safety interlocks, and disconnects. Crane & Lift Operations: Knowledge of rigging safety procedures, signaling, and staging area coordination for crane operations. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to interpret schematics/blueprints, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Communication & Adaptability: Ability to prioritize work, adapt to frequent travel schedules, and communicate clearly with team members and contractors. Work Environment This position regularly works at commercial construction sites and occupied customer facilities, requiring overnight or extended travel over 50% of the time. Employees may be exposed to: Extreme temperatures and outdoor weather conditions Heights and crane lift operational zones Dust, fumes, noise from construction equipment, and airborne particles Confined spaces and moving mechanical equipment Physical Requirements Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance. Climbs ladders, scaffolding, and accesses roofs via vertical ladders. Stands, walks, kneels, crouches, crawls, stoops, bends, and reaches overhead throughout the workday. Uses hands and fingers for grasping, handling, and operating tools/digital devices. Uses close vision, color vision (for wiring), and depth perception.
