Join the team this and summer a work outside at our beautiful Marina! Sunriver Resort Marina is hiring a Marina Driver to help guide guests safely on and off the water while providing friendly, memorable service. The Marina Driver is responsible for providing a safe and fun experience for all guests using the marina facilities. They will work with the marina team to load and unload equipment, as well as assist guests in and out of boats. The Marina Driver is responsible for the safe transport of guest during their marina visit. They will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

The Marina Driver will always conduct them self in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

Responsible for driving vans and buses while safely transporting guests and hauling boats to put-in and take-out
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of Marina vehicles as well as reporting any safety or maintenance issues
Assists with getting guests in & out of boats in a safe manner
Informs guests on safe handling of various boats
Assists with loading/unloading boats on trailer
Assists with teaching of marina lessons/programs
Maintains a clean, safe and secure environment
Assist with opening and closing of the marina
Maintains a strong knowledge of marina surroundings and trip options
Interacts with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Provides general resort information to guests
Promotes the sale of boat rentals, programs, food & beverages, merchandise and all resort services

Qualifications

High school education preferred
One year of customer service experience required
Prior hospitality experience preferred
Prior Marina experience preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have valid Driver’s license and meet resort driving standards
Must have the physical ability to meet the demands of the position including lifting heavy equipment and extensive bending and stooping
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, heat, dust & sun);
Must be able to wade into cold water on occasion
Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 50 lbs alone, and up to 90 lbs with help, including some lifting above shoulder height
Must be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, & fine manipulation occasionally.
