Amsoil is currently seeking to fill a Blender position.

 

The primary responsibilities of a Blender include blending products to meet inventory and customer requirements. This is accomplished by mixing raw materials to create finished products, weighing correct chemicals, and sampling finished product to Quality Control for approval. This individual should also have a working knowledge of all company products as well as all mixing equipment.

 

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follows formulations and processing procedures as required by production demand.
  • Operates and cleans all equipment, tanks, mixers, scales meters, pumps, and vessels as needed.
  • Sets up and monitors all mixing tanks and mixers.
  • Maintains a safe working environment, always utilizing appropriate safety equipment.
  • Willingly and proactively assists fellow blenders and teammates when needed.
  • Submits finished product samples and all paperwork for approval and in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures raw material usage on each batch is added correctly and with correct measurement.
  • Communicates openly and frequently with production team when batches are complete and ready to fill.
  • Responsible for loading and offloading railcars and tankers as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience operating blending equipment a plus but not required.

Certificates/Licenses Required:

  • Forklift certification preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Able to work with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions including safety rules, operating procedures, batch recipes, and material identification.
  • Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as well as making the necessary conversions.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Display good troubleshooting skills.
