Job DetailsJob Location: Grand Palms Resort - Surfside Beach, SC 29575Position Type: Part TimePOSITION SUMMARY:   We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grounds Attendant to join our team at Grand Palms Resort. The ideal candidate will play a key role in keeping our resort’s common areas, poolside, and outdoor grounds clean, safe, and visually appealing for guests. This position requires a proactive approach to light janitorial work and grounds maintenance, with a focus on maintaining a pristine and welcoming environment.QualificationsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS: Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of all common areas, including walkways, courtyards, lobbies, and outdoor seating areas. Maintain the cleanliness of pool decks and surrounding areas, including wiping down furniture and removing debris. Vacuum pools and clean tile as needed between scheduled professional pool service visits. Routinely pick up litter and empty trash bins around the property to ensure all areas are neat and tidy. Sweep, blow, or hose down sidewalks and paved areas to maintain a clean appearance. Assist with other minor maintenance tasks as assigned by management. Monitor supplies and inform supervisor of items that need to be restocked (e.g., trash bags, cleaning products). Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or guest concerns to the appropriate personnel. Interact with guest and coworkers in a positive manner. Assist with any special projects or other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Ability to work independently and take initiative to maintain cleanliness standards. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Basic understanding of pool maintenance (training provided if necessary). Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces clean and inviting. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS   It is required, that the individual have a valid driver’s license in good standing to operate a golf cart.     WORKING CONDITIONS   All of the work will be performed in a non-climate-controlled environment (outside), will be exposed to severe inclement weather and varying degrees of extreme temperature. Will be exposed to various industrial chemicals, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate hand tools (may include operating industrial machinery). Must be able to lift between fifty (50) to seventy-five (75) pounds. WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS Schedules will vary depending on business needs and thus may entail working nights, weekends, and holidays.
