Amoroso Woodridge is looking for a Registered Nurse to fulfill the position of Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator. The Registered Nurse chosen for this position will work closely with, and report to the Director of Nursing.

What We Need:
- Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience in a long-term care/skilled nursing management/supervisory role
- Formal Infection Preventionist training (CDC/CMS training is acceptable)
- Experience training/developing staff using various educational mediums, including electronic, in-person, one-on-one, and group training.
- Creativity in educational inservice presentation to foster learning
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
- PA-PSRS and NHSN experience strongly preferred - candidate will need to secure access to NHSN within 60 days of hire

What You Will Do:

Manage and execute the Infection Prevention Program, including tracking, surveillance, reporting, and education

Champion the facility's immunization program for residents and staff

Chair the Infection Control Meeting

Active member of the QAA Committee; participates in QAA sub-committees as assigned

Provide individual and group education based on Federal and State requirements, facility need, and staff performance

Coordinate and oversee the facility's New Employee Orientation

Work closely with medical providers

Make rounds to identify educational needs and compliance with infection control practices

Provide educational sessions for staff in all departments and all shifts
-
Be an active member of the nursing team to improve clinical outcomes

Identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans

Other duties as described in the job description/assigned by the DON
When you will work:
-
Typically Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
-
Off hours (evening, night shift, weekends) to provide education to staff working on those shifts - typically 1-2 times per month and as needed
-
Alternate hours will be required based on the needs of the facility

Participate in an on-call rotation with other Nursing Administration Team members
