Are you an electrical engineer who thrives on taking a project from concept to build-ready
design? Do you enjoy designing complete control systems from scratch and working
directly with customers to deliver practical, high-quality solutions?

At Bevco Engineering, we’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and
execution of industrial control panel projects. This role owns projects from kickoff through
release to manufacturing and serves as the primary technical point of contact for
customers. You’ll be responsible for full control system design, component selection,
compliance, and mentoring junior team members — while collaborating with Senior
Controls Engineers for PLC programming and advanced automation functions.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is confident designing safe,
compliant, and build-ready control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Support & Execution
• Participate in electrical control panel projects from kickoff through release to
manufacturing.
• Review customer specifications and clarify technical requirements.
• Support project timelines by delivering accurate and timely electrical designs.

Control System Design
• Design electrical control systems based on customer specifications and application
requirements.
• Develop power distribution layouts and control circuits.
• Select appropriate components including:
o PLC hardware (CPUs, I/O modules, power supplies)
o Motor starters and VFDs
o Circuit protection devices
o Safety components
o Transformers and power supplies
o Relays, terminal blocks, and ancillary components
• Develop I/O lists in coordination with Controls Engineers.
• Ensure proper consideration of short circuit current rating (SCCR), heat dissipation,
and physical layout constraints.
• Apply sound panel layout strategies to support manufacturability and serviceability.

Compliance & Standards
• Design in accordance with UL 508A, NEC, and applicable industry standards.
• Ensure component selections and panel configurations meet compliance
requirements.
• Support internal review processes to maintain technical accuracy and quality.
Documentation & Manufacturing Support
• Generate electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN,
or similar software.
• Produce clear, accurate, build-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing during panel fabrication to clarify design intent and
resolve technical questions.
• Support design updates and revisions as required.

Education
• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering required.

Experience
• 5–8 years of experience in industrial control panel design or electrical controls
engineering.
• Experience designing electrical control systems from concept through release to
manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and industrial control system
design.
• Experience selecting and integrating PLC-based control system hardware
(programming not required).
• Working knowledge of UL 508A and NEC requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or comparable electrical design
software.
• Solid understanding of SCCR calculations and panel thermal considerations.
• Practical understanding of control panel layout best practices.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing accurate, build-ready
documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communicator capable of working with customers, project managers, and
shop personnel.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a team environment.

Why Join IEWC/Bevco?
• Work on high-quality, custom industrial control systems in a hands-on
manufacturing environment.
• Be part of a collaborative engineering and manufacturing team focused on
delivering practical, build-ready solutions.
• Contribute to real-world projects that move from concept to production.
• Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) — As an employee-owner, you directly
share in the success and long-term growth of the company.
• Competitive salary and benefits with opportunities for professional growth.
