1st Shift Warehouse Worker - Freight Unloader

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team as a Freight Unloader. This position involves unloading freight and ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Unload freight from delivery trucks and containers

- Sort and organize items for storage or distribution

- Ensure all items are handled safely to prevent damage

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times

- Collaborate with team members to meet daily unloading goals

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred

- Experience on pallet jack, forklift and clamp machines is preferred.

- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

Hours: 

Monday-Friday 5:30am- finish (approx. 3pm). 

Compensation:

- Hourly while training and then to piecework pay structure based on the volume of freight unloaded

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age. 

Needs to be able to work the shift hours 

5:30am- finish

Must have reliable transportation

Experience of equipment including pallet jack and forklift.
