- Monitor and maintain consistent flow of extrudate through cutters and racking system.
- Turn-on and set-up tube cutters with appropriate piece count, and tube length according to extrusion schedule or Line Technician’s instruction.
- Set and adjust conveyor speeds accordingly. Material is very malleable at this stage and excessive tension must be avoided, eliminate stretching and tube snaking.
- Guide extrudate tubes through cutters and adjust guides according to each tube dimension.
- Turn-on calcium pump and adjust nozzles to ensure proper calcium coverage.
- Monitor each cutter, manually roll and stack tubes as needed to ensure proper stacking and piece count.
- Maintain visual observation and a high level of concentration to ensure extrudate is transferred through each stage.
- Reload trays once piece count is met and ensure trays are loaded correctly onto each rack.
- Remove and reload racks once each rack is full.
- Complete detail reporting of piece count, average tube weight, and total tray count, ensure each rack is identified and tagged accordingly.
- Monitor and maintain consistent feed of rubber ensuring low scrap production runs.
- Organize batches according to productions schedule
- Arrange batches by ML, MaxP, MCR as instructed by Line Technician
- Read batch ticket information and notify the Line Technician of any abnormalities
- Turn on extruder TCU’s and ensure pumps are functioning correctly.
- Turn on extruder and start feeding material at Line Technician’s instruction
- Inspect and maintain constant rubber feed.
- Monitor rubber flow and die swell.
- Routinely inspect calcium tank levels and hoses to maintain consistent coverage.
- Routinely inspect TCU temperatures to ensure proper working order, notify maintenance of any abnormalities.
Immediately inform Line Tech of any loss feed issues, or machinery faults
Other Job Functions:
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report equipment problems and safety hazards promptly to the line supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Ability to bend/stooping, reach, and move safely while performing job duties.
