Job DetailsJob Location: Legal Address - Sweetwater, TX 79556Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: GraveyardWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent clinical skills, capable of coordinating daily unit operations and supporting both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities and workflow on the unit Provide direct patient care and oversee care provided by nursing staff Make patient assignments based on acuity levels and staff competencies Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes or emergencies Conduct rounds to assess patient needs and staff performance Address patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit meetings Manage unit supplies and equipment inventory Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges    QualificationsRequired Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent leadership and team management abilities Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications Specialty certification in relevant area (e.g., Med-Surg, ICU, ER) Experience with staff education and training Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
