Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in our facilities.


Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person


Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures in facilities
  • Install conduits and pipe to house electrical wires and cables
  • Ensure piping complies with electrical codes
  • Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them
  • Connect electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the facilities
  • Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
  • Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
  • Replace conduit and wiring as needed
  • Replace circuit breakers as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Complete other duties as assigned or required.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to read blueprints and building designs
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Excellent verbal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending and climbing ladders or scaffolding
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • In process or completion of a formal apprenticeship
  • Electrician’s license preferred
