The Foundation Director leads all fundraising, donor stewardship, and financial development operations for the hospital district foundation. This role builds community partnerships, secures major gifts, and aligns philanthropic goals with the long-term healthcare mission of the public hospital district. Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Donor Relations: Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts, planned gifts, and corporate sponsorships. Oversee annual giving campaigns, special events, and capital campaigns supporting the hospital district. Build lasting relationships with community leaders, grateful patients, and local organizations. Board & Governance Collaboration: Partner with the Foundation Board of Directors to set fundraising goals and policies. Attend board meetings, provide financial and progress reports, and support board development. Maintain compliance with tax laws, non-profit guidelines, and public hospital district regulations. Operations & Management: Manage the foundation's operating budget, gift records, and database tracking systems. Supervise foundation staff, contractors, or volunteers. Coordinate public relations and marketing materials to promote the hospital's mission and funding needs.  Qualifications Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in business preferred, non-profit management, communications, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in non-profit fundraising, development, or healthcare administration. Skills: Proven track record of closing major gifts or running successful campaigns. Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills. Financial acumen with budget management experience. Knowledge of healthcare philanthropy or public sector institutional environments is a strong plus.
