Laboratory Assistant PRN

Job DetailsJob Location: Sweetwater, TX 79556Salary Range: $14.00 - $22.76 HourlyReports to:  Laboratory Supervisor, Laboratory Director, Chief Laboratory Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technician. Experience not required.  On the job training available.  Primary Function:  Under the general supervision of the supervisor, the laboratory assistant performs certain laboratory procedures in phlebotomy, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Serology, Microbiology and Hematology.  These procedures exclude any which are performed only by  licensed personnel under state or national license regulations.     QualificationsQualifications:  Prefer a high school graduate or equivalent.  Certification as a laboratory assistant preferred.  Experience as a phlebotomist; drawing neonates, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics a plus.  Need to have moderate knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent verbal, written and communication skills.  Qualifies in accordance with Federal Register (CLIA 88) part 493, subpart M, Personnel Qualifications. Experience not required.  On the job training available for the right candidate.
