Maintenance Tech

What you need:

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment· Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and communicating effectively with co-workers.· Reliability· Dependability· Ability to work in anon-climate control environment. 

JOB PURPOSE:    To assist maintenance personnel in maintaining plant grounds and equipment. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
 
1.    Must be able to use hand tools and power tools to fabricate as needed.
2.    Must be able to communicate with other team members for preventive maintenance.
3.    Must have mental competence to make decisions quickly.
4.    Must have reading writing and basic math skills to fill out check sheets and charts.
5.    Must be able to complete necessary work on work orders and information on work orders. 

 
GOAL & OBJECTIVES:

1.    Must be able to do trouble shooting with Maintenance team members.
2.    Must be able to do basic wiring of 480/277 volts or less.
3.    Must be able to use voltage meter on 480/277 volts or less.
4.    Must be able to trouble shoot wiring problems/correct problems in a timely matter.
5.    Must be able to read and understand electrical systematic.
6.    Must have the ability to weld, cut and fabricate as needed.
7.    Reports equipment problems and safety hazards to Maintenance Manager.
8.    Makes inspections on various equipment as assigned and fills out check sheets.
9.    Must be able to make repairs on equipment.
10.    Must have general knowledge of lathe and milling machine.
11.    Must have general knowledge of plc controls and drives.
12.    Must have the ability to learn to do extensive trouble shooting with all electrical controls and wiring.
 
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
 
1.    Performs housekeeping duties as needed.
2.    Reports equipment problems and safety hazards to Production supervisor.
3.    Ability to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
4.    Other job duties may be assigned.
 5.    Use PPE for safety as required by OSHA and MSDS standards.
