Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of mass timber products. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Job Description:

Responsibilities ​

  • Operate machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process of mass timber products. 

  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery and equipment for different production runs.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and workflow.

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including sweeping, dusting, and disposing of waste materials.

  • Keep accurate records of production activities, including materials used, production output, and equipment maintenance.

  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.  

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing or related field preferred. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.  

  • Basic computer skills for recording production data and operating machinery interfaces.
