Why This Role Matters

The Clinical Supervisor of Therapy plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical services within our residential halfway house program. This position provides supervision and support to therapists, case manager and clinical interns, promotes clinical excellence, ensures regulatory compliance, and helps women address substance use, mental health, trauma, and recovery challenges as they work toward sustained wellness and independence.

What You'll Do

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and consultation to therapists, case manager and clinical interns.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation for quality, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to treatment standards, ethical guidelines, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Facilitate regular individual and group supervision meetings.
  • Support staff professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide onboarding and training to new clinical staff.

Treatment Planning & Clinical Services

  • Oversee development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Ensure therapy services address substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, trauma, and recovery goals.
  • Monitor client progress and recommend clinical interventions as needed.
  • Provide direct clinical services and crisis intervention when required.
  • Review assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge plans.
  • Promote evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment practices.

Program Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, DDAP, licensing, and agency regulations.
  • Monitor documentation standards and ensure timely completion of clinical records.
  • Participate in audits, quality improvement activities, and accreditation reviews.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to achieve program goals and outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

  • Partner with medical, psychiatric, case management, recovery support, and residential staff to coordinate care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with referral sources, external providers, and community partners.
  • Support care coordination and discharge planning efforts.
  • Advocate for client needs and promote a client-centered approach to treatment.

Staff Development & Performance Management

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to clinical team members.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and supportive team culture.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and morale initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and selection of clinical staff.

Crisis Management & Client Care

  • Provide consultation and leadership during behavioral health or clinical crises.
  • Ensure appropriate risk assessment and safety planning practices.
  • Support staff in managing complex clinical situations.
  • Maintain awareness of client safety concerns and respond according to agency protocols.
  • Ensure effective coordination of emergency and after-hours clinical needs.

What You Bring

Required

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
  • Active Pennsylvania clinical licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of behavioral health or substance use treatment experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical supervision or leadership experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions through therapeutic counseling.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based treatment practices.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Act 73, 33, and 34 Clearances
  • Ability to respond to urgent clinical situations as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience in residential treatment, halfway house, or recovery housing programs.
  • Knowledge of DDAP regulations and Pennsylvania behavioral health standards.
  • Significant experience with electronic health records and clinical quality improvement processes.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary treatment teams.

  • Participation in a Leader on-call rotation Regular interaction with clients, clinical staff, and community partners

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely respond to behavioral health and crisis situations in accordance with training and agency policy
  • Ability to navigate multiple floors and staircases in the residential house
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to navigate across our parking lot to our main building as required
