Position SummaryĀ 

AmbiparĀ Response is seeking a motivated and organizedĀ CDL AĀ SupervisorĀ to join our team.Ā In addition to providing leadership and guidance, this positionĀ is responsible forĀ ensuringĀ compliance with all safety regulations,Ā manageĀ project documentation, budgets, personnel, andĀ maintainĀ equipment readiness to ensure project profitability.Ā

Essential JobĀ FunctionsĀ Ā 

  • Supervises a small teamĀ of technicians and drivers performing industrial cleaning, environmental services, and emergency spill response, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste cleanup, confined space entry, tank cleaning, and site remediationĀ 

  • Provides leadership, mentorship, and supportĀ to field staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT)Ā 

  • ManagesĀ on-call response operations, assigning work and coordinating resources for both scheduled and emergency deployments, including availability for overtime and out-of-town travel on short noticeĀ 

  • Ensures safe operation of equipment and vehicles,Ā overseesĀ preventive maintenance checks, and ensures timely reporting of defects or issuesĀ 

  • Assists Driver Operators and TechniciansĀ with safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of vacuum trucks (liquid, dry, and hydro excavation) and associated tools and equipmentĀ 

  • Leads by example, actively participating in physically demanding fieldwork, including operating vacuum hoses, lifting heavy equipment, and working in extreme weather conditions, while wearing appropriate PPEĀ 

  • Conducts regular safety briefings, ensures all team members are up to date on required training and certifications, and enforcesĀ all safety protocolsĀ Ā 

  • Monitors and maintains housekeeping standardsĀ across offices, yards, warehouses, and vehicles to ensure cleanliness and safetyĀ 

  • UsesĀ vacuum hose to remove sand, sludge, oil, water, and various other liquids and solidsĀ 

  • Creates and submits required documentation, including job reports, vehicle logs, timekeeping records, incident reports, and project documentationĀ 

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of environmental and hazardous material handling protocols and complies with all applicable safety guidelines and regulatory requirementsĀ 

  • PreformsĀ other duties as assignedĀ

MinimumĀ Job RequirementsĀ Ā 

  • High School Diploma or equivalentĀ 

  • Minimum ofĀ 5Ā years’ experience inĀ environmental services, hazmat response, or a related fieldĀ 

  • Valid driver’s license without restrictionsĀ 

  • Valid Class A CommercialĀ DriversĀ License (CDL) required with an acceptable driving recordĀ 

  • Thorough knowledge of all federal, state and local guidelines (OSHA, CDPHE, CDH, DSHS)Ā 

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER CertificationĀ 

  • Ability to pass a DOT and Hazmat physical examinationĀ 

  • Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignmentsĀ 

  • Experience working outsideĀ in all types of weather conditionsĀ 

  • Detail orientatedĀ with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environmentĀ 

  • Strong organizational skillsĀ 

  • ExcellentĀ verbal and written communication abilitiesĀ whenĀ interactingĀ with customers, regulators, direct reports, and managersĀ 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management softwareĀ 

  • Exposure to hazardous materials and high-risk environments requiring strict adherence to safety protocolsĀ

Work Schedule/Work EnvironmentĀ 

  • The standard working hours are 7 AM – 4 PM. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, includingĀ extended hours, overtime, various shifts including nights andĀ weekends and holidays when necessary.Ā 

  • This position may require extended periods ofĀ travel, andĀ working in inclement weather.Ā 

  • Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8–12 hourĀ shifts.Ā 

  • Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, reach, crawl, and kneel.Ā 

  • Must be able toĀ lift upĀ to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.Ā 

  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.Ā 

  • Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.Ā 

  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds by ear.Ā 

  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.Ā 

  • Jobs are frequently completed outside and if needed, in inclement weather conditions.Ā 

  • Perform work in confined spaces, heights, and/or in water.Ā 

  • Ability to wear APR’s SCBA’s, supplied air, and various levels of protective suits, andĀ Personal Projective Equipment as required in accordance with company standards and procedures.Ā 

  • May be exposed to non-hazardous and hazardous material.Ā 

  • Some aspects of the clean-up work may generate a significant amount of static electricity.Ā 

  • Work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures.Ā
