Assistant Manager – Mental Health Residential Services
Reports to: Program Manager, MH Residential
Location: Highland Ave, Syracuse, NY
Pay Rate:$21.03-$23.71
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive employee to assist in the provision and oversight of services to residents, as well as provide training and supervision to residential staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services as assigned by Program Manager; must be able and willing to demonstrate direct care duties
- Assist in the assessment of residents’ needs
- Ensure assignments, including change of shift procedures, made by Program Manager to Residence Counselors, are completed
- Assist the Program Manager in addressing issues related to maintaining the residence, including safety issues
- Report all emergencies or medical concerns to Program Manager or on-call
- Participate in program on-call rotation to provide after-hours support to programs
- Provide initial and ongoing training to Residence Counselors including, but not limited to, implementation of residents’ service plans
- Complete required documentation for those residents assigned during shift and ensure completion of documentation by Residence Counselors
- Act as a liaison with the local community of participants, survivors, ex-participants, as assigned
- Conduct self in a professional manner
- Attend staff meetings and other meetings as directed by supervisor
- Provide person-centered, quality services
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Education/Experience:
High school diploma/GED, required. One year of experience working with individuals that have mental health diagnoses, and experience working with adults with substance use issues, preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
